It is never a good idea to simply ignore dental issues and hope the problem will disappear rather than schedule an appointment with your dentist and this is particularly true of impacted wisdom teeth. 

Wisdom teeth become impacted because there is insufficient room for them to push through the gums but the force they exert can cause the surrounding teeth to become:

-  Crowded

-  Misaligned

-  Cracked or broken

As a rule, impacted wisdom teeth will need to be extracted and the longer they are left in place can mean complications that would make extraction more difficult have time to set in.
