It's never too early to care for baby's teeth:

- Baby's gums can be cleaned with a damp washcloth to remove bacteria.

- As soon as their first tooth comes through it can be cleaned with toothpaste for babies and you can start taking them to the dentist.

- You can also request a fluoride supplement if your local water supply isn't fortified. 

- Avoid sugary snacks and drinks before bedtime

"Fluoride helps to strengthen the tooth enamel so that it becomes resistant to harmful bacteria’s and acids and thus prevents tooth decay."
